Greenwald: The Digital Surveillance State: Vast, Secret, and Dangerous

So sickening, and so predictable. This country is going downhill so fast, it's alarming. Just as glaciers the size of Manhattan are crumbling, causing frightening warming patterns, so we are falling apart, as well. What to do? What to do? Where is the moral imperative, the intellectual acumen? The concern for the suffering of others we know and can never know. The poor and middle classes continue to shoot themselves in their feet, believing absurd and corrupt political propagandists, as people sicken from the black waters of the Gulf and grow ill with incurable cancer from the ashes of coal, and other forms of avoidable pollution and poisonous mutant vegetables. Wisdom without money and power (never mind control of the media) is a sad, laughing matter here. Time for a revolution of will and courage. Where is the outraged youth of our societies?
